EOTech Hosts 1st Annual Competition

October, 2008

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA, October 13, 2008 L-3 EOTech, a division of L-3 Communications, announced today that it had a successful 1st Annual EOTech Challenge.

L3 EOTech hosted its 1st Annual EOTech Challenge at the Frank Bland Regional Training Center in San Bernardino County, California, at the conclusion of COPS West. EOTech sponsored and organized the event with the help of Sig Sauer, a premier weapon manufacturer, located out of New Hampshire. Competitors were offered the opportunity to test their skills against other law enforcement personnel, using Sig Sauer firearms and EOTech sights. Competitors took aim at five steel targets at 100 meters. The person with the quickest time and greatest accuracy determined the winner.

John Long, the Western United States Sales Director for EOTech, commented on the event "The competition was a lot of fun. We saw a lot of rivalry within city departments as well as department vs. department. The turnout was fantastic and we are very encouraged to offer the EOTech Challenge again next year."

COPS West, is an annual law enforcement expo held in California. The event hosts training sessions, charities, an exhibitor show, and a live fire shooting day.
